In 2010, I built my first roof deck (actually 7 roof decks for a condominium building) in Seattle, Washington. Initially, I only intended for roof decks to be a temporary side business to my primary work as a Stonebuilder (click here JTA Stoneworks). But, twelve years later I continue to consult with architects, train other installers and on occasion build complex, unusual or remote projects.
I started building with the Belgium-based Buzon pedestal system and I still only use Buzon’s pedestals for my projects. In 2011, I became their USA Technical Representative. In 2012, I co-founded Buzon USA West and HDG Building Material, but left them in 2013 to focus exclusively on building projects.
